High Carbon Low Sulfur Graphitized Petroleum Coke (GPC) is a type of GPC that has a high carbon content and a low sulfur content. It is produced by heating high-quality petroleum coke to extremely high temperatures, typically over 2500°C, in an electric furnace. During this process, impurities and volatile compounds are removed, resulting in a material with high carbon purity and low sulfur content.

High Carbon Low Sulfur GPC is widely used in the metallurgical and foundry industries as a carbon additive, due to its high carbon content, low sulfur content, and low ash content. It is commonly used as a recarburizer in the production of steel and iron castings, as well as in the production of electrodes for electric arc furnaces.
